Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara organized “The Learning Market Place” on 9th May 2018, which celebrated the thrills and innovations of Technology. This event was a special event in which approximately 410 students from Grade XI to Grade XII participated. Dr. Rajesh Verma (Additional Dean, Mittal School of business) form Lovely Professional University was the chief guest for the event. Mr.Tara Chand, Mr. Karamyogi, Mr. Mohindra Kumar, Mr. Ragbotra eminent citizens of Phagwara were the honourable guests. Ms. P.K. Dhillon, the School Principal welcomed all the Honourable Guest. Students Preached, Practiced and Propagated UNO Sustainable Development Goals through their exhibits, charts, presentations, models etc. Students from 8 schools from Jalandhar and Phagwara visited school during The Learning Market Place. Parents and visitors were overjoyed to witness the event. 112 students of Grade 9th participating in Koen Timmers “The Innovation Project” put up their prototypes in this Learning Market Place. The Special feature of the day was the Virtual Tour of the Learning Market Place via Skype. Students from 6 different schools from Thailand, Pakistan, Delhi, Ludhiana also virtually witnessed the mega event. The Chief Guest appreciated the students’ efforts. An International Project Global Enterprise Challenge team put up their stall which was appreciated by one and all. Students of Biology department showcased their research done on Bees and talked about the importance of bees as KNPS is participating in International ENO Art Bee project. The School Principal Ms.P.K.Dhillon said that the school provides each and every possible opportunity to develop the inherent skills of the students. She further said that this event will continue for two more days i.e. on 14th and 15th May, wherein Classes V to VIII and IX and X students will showcase their Communication skills and their presentation skills.
