Kamla Nehru Public School is proud to offer a diverse range of CBSE skill subjects that align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These subjects not only promote academic excellence but also prepare students for the future, supporting SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
From Grade I to V, students engage in captivating mask making, enhancing creativity, fine motor skills, and cultural awareness. Embroidery is offered to Grade VI to VIII students, fostering aesthetics, patience, and attention to detail.
Coding is introduced from Grade IV to VIII, fostering logical thinking, problem-solving, and computational skills. Grade VI students develop design thinking and innovation, nurturing critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills for SDG 9.
Grade VII explores augmented and virtual reality, empowering students to understand SDG 11 for sustainable urban spaces and improved communication. Mass media in Grade VIII provides a comprehensive understanding of communication, journalism, and ethical reporting.
For senior secondary students, we offer skill subjects including Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Grades IX to XII, preparing them for AI-driven industries. Web application development, media studies, electronic technology, and food nutrition & dietetics are also offered, aligned with SDGs 4, 8, and 9.
