Kamla Nehru Public School Initiates RiseUp4Peace Fest: A Week-long Celebration of SDGs &
#SDG16 Art Integration and Mental Well-being.
On April 30th, 2024, Kamla Nehru Public School inaugurated the RiseUp4Peace Fest, a vibrant week-long event dedicated to promoting SDGs and SDG16, Art Integration and Mental Well-being. 210 students spanning grades 1 to 4 actively participated in diverse festival activities centered around themes such as Zero Hunger, Gender Inclusivity, No Poverty, and Good Health and Wellbeing, all in alignment with SDGs & SDG16 Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.
Students showcased their talents through various mediums including Minecraft worlds, coding projects, street plays, artworks, songs, dances, and poems. Approximately 210 students, accompanied by their parents, esteemed guests, and visitors, collectively pledged their dedication to the RiseUp4Peace initiative.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Ms. Ritu Gupta, Principal from Gems Little Hand, Ms. Rachna Khurana, Principal from Kids Planet School, and Ms. Neha, Principal from Kiddies Care. Moreover, 265 students along with 8 teachers from Grade 2 to 4 of STS School Rurka Kalan visited the school and attended the RiseUp4Peace Fest. Additionally, students from Rose Bud School, Amritsar, Shiv Jyoti School, Jalandhar, Little Angle School Kapurthala and Apple Orchard School, Phagwara attended online.
Ms. P.K. Dhillon, Principal (Admin & Innov), expressed gratitude to all attendees and parents for their unwavering support. She shared that the festival would continue to inspire and engage participants until May 6th, promoting SDGs & SDG16.
