UNODC Lockdown Learners’ initiative
UNODC launches series of online dialogues with students & educators in India on COVID-19 The dialogues have been launched by the United Nations body under its flagship Education for Justice initiative. Kamla Nehru Public School , Phagwara partnering with UNODC.
“SDGs: The Rising- Building Communities Together” is a journey to meet UN2030 Agenda. It is a journey were collaboration bloomed. It is a journey filled with contentment. It is a journey of SDG empowerment in the school and aim to create a generation of Educators, Learners & Neighborhood community, today who understand SDG’s and have Knowledge, Skill and Attitude to promote Sustainable Development among others through Education by living a Sustainable Human Life. 1600+ students and 98 educators of Kamla Nehru Public School are involved in Building SDG Communities.
Interaction Sessions with UNODC
Activity 1: Online Painting
Theme: Migrant workers /Homeless/Economically and socially disadvantaged
Students Participated: 183 students of Grade VI to X
Students painted their concern about homeless worker’s during Covid_19 pandemic.
The brushes and the colours expressed their thoughts and pain towards the need of the homeless.
Activity 2:Covid_19 Doodle Dove
Date : 2nd May 2020
Students Participated:253 students of Grade I to V
Doodle Dove ? of Peace, Dove of Justice, Dove of Strong Institution was creatively made by the students. Students expressed their thoughts , how Goal number 16 Peace Justice and Strong Institution is needed in this time of Global crises.
Activity 3: OnLine Panel Discussion
Date: 4th May 2020
Topic: JOBS AT RISK- COVID 19 (Research, Facts & Predictions)
Attendees: 198 Students of Grade12
Students of Grade 12 participated.
Moderator:Ms Ishika Panelists:Ms Aditi, Ms Arshdeep Ms Gurnoor, Master Harsimran & Master Amritpal, this being part of UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime “Lockdown Learners” series on “Responding to COVID-19: Promoting SDGs & Youth Action.”

Activity 4: Online Punjabi Poetry Recitation

Continuation to UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime “Lockdown Learners” series on “Responding to COVID-19: Promoting SDGs & Youth Action.”
Punjabi #RemoteLearning session began with Poetry Recitation in our Native Language “Punjabi” and student were in colourful Punjabi attire.
Self composed poems on #COVID19 were an example of students’ Concern, Creativity & Care for Humanity!
105 Students of Grade IX attended the session.

Honourable Guest Mr Samarth Pathak – Strategic Advocacy officer at UNO, working with UNODC -United Nations Office Drugs and Crimes’, Delhi joined today’s live session.
Students presented their research paper, facts, predictions and recommendations to one and all.
