Kamla Nehru Public School commemorated “International Day of Peace” on 21st Sept. 2018 through a Tree Plantation Drive, at Rawalpindi Village. 1000 saplings were planted by 280 students of Grade 4th, 5th & 6th. Kamla Nehru Public School collaborated with schools from around the world by participating in “International Environment Online Project” of Finland. Ms. Jyoti Bala Mattu, Joint Commissioner, #Phagwara was the Chief Guest, Mr. Nitin Shahi, Executive Director, Findoc Financial Services Group, Ludhiana was the guest of Honour. He was accompanied by Mr. Amit Bajaj who represented the Real Estate Business Group, #Findoc. Mr. Malkiat Singh Raghbotra, from Phagwara #Environment Association graced the occasion. The saplings of the Medicinal Indian Tree “#Arjun” was provided by Mr Jagjiwan Jaswal, Range Forest Officer, from Forest Department Phagwara. The School Principal, Ms. P.K. Dhillon thanked the guests for their gracious presence on an all-important International Day of Peace. She stated that the school is practicing, preaching and promoting United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
