Kamla Nehru Public School, founded in the year 2007, is a co-educational institution affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The school is a Microsoft Showcase School, has also received International School Award from the British Council, U.K. and is a Wakelet Showcase School. Kamla Nehru Public School is the International Winner of Microsoft Asia Pacific Biggest Impact Award in 2021-22. The junior wing, Kamla Nehru Primary School, caters to the education of pupils from Nursery to Grade V. The school is ably led by its Principal (Administration & Innovation), Ms. Paramjeet Kaur Dhillon, who is globally validated Master Trainer on 21st Century Core Skills, by the British Council, U.K. She is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) from 2016-23, MIEE Trainer and MIEE Fellow. With an experience of 28 years as a Principal, she has trained over 5500+ educators across India, and is also a CBSE Resource Person. She is assisted by Dr. Charu Chhabra Principal (Academics).
The school boasts of well-equipped facilities including a well-stocked library, Science lab, Atal Tinkering lab, Electronic lab, Computer labs, 200-meter athletic track, kho-kho ground, basketball court, volleyball courts, football court, badminton court, and lawn tennis courts.
At Kamla Nehru Public School, education is not just about imparting knowledge, but also about preparing pupils for the future. Keeping this in mind, the school has introduced several skill-based subjects in its curriculum. Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Design Thinking and Innovation, Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality, Mass Media, Mask Making and Embroidery are taught to pupils from classes I to XII, while Electronic Technology, Web Application, Food Nutrition & Dietetics, Multimedia, Mass Media Studies and Psychology are taught in classes XI & XII.
Kamla Nehru Public School is a strong advocate of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Goals, and is committed to practicing, preaching, and promoting them. As part of this commitment, the school is actively working on SDG4 – Quality Education, with a specific focus on Target 4.4. The school has an International Policy in place, which it adheres to in letter and spirit.
