15th Annual Sports Meet on the theme “Say No Drugs, Yes To Life” at Kamla Nehru Public School
On 07.11.24, Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara organised 15th Annual sports Meet on the theme “Say No Drugs, Yes To Life”. The chief guest was Mr Marco Teixeira, Regional Representative from the UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Regional Office for South Asia. The Guests of honour were Mr. Pankaj Sardana , President School Managing Committee and Ms. Divya Sardana. Distinguished guests was Mr. Samarth Pathak, Communication Officer & Focal Point (Youth) from the UNODC Regional Office for South Asia. Approximately 1,500 students from Nursery to Grade XII participated in the event, which aimed to promote drug awareness and healthy living. The school’s alumni and Sports Captain upheld the spirit of sportsmanship, carrying the torch as a symbol of commitment to combatting drug abuse. Students actively engaged in the Drugs Awareness Campaign, presenting performances that highlighted the dangers of substance abuse. 59 track and field events were concluded. Shot Put, Discus Throw, Long Jump, 100m, 200m flat race and Inter school 4×100 m relay were held. Honourable Chief Guest Mr Marco Teixeira appreciated the efforts of KNPS to promote awareness for Drugs amongst the students.
