Special Assembly on UK – India celebrating year of culture – ‘HUMSAFAR’

Special assembly under British Council ISA Project was conducted in the premises of Kamla Nehru Primary School, Hargobind Nagar, Phagwara. The Chief Guest for this Special Assembly was Honorable Dr. Charu Chabra, Vice Principal of Kamla Nehru Public School. The theme of Special Assembly was UK – India celebrating year of culture – ‘HUMSAFAR’. Under this Project students learnt about British contribution to India through Slogans, Panel Discussion, Mime, Street Play and Patriotic Dance. They talked about Indian freedom struggle, British contribution to roads, railways, education system,safety norms and industrial development, education and empowering teachers, development of common wealth countries, . Students also promote different SDG goals – Goal no. 4 Quality education and Goal no. 10 Reduce Inequalities. At the end of Special Assembly Respected Headmistress Ms. Harpreet Mehta thanked all the parents and also encouraged the students to adopt good values to be a responsible citizen.
