#InternationalTigerDay 2021 is observed on 29 July everyday to raise awareness about the declining tiger population in the world. Students of Grade 1 of #KamlaNehruPublicSchool Phagwara commemorated Global Tiger Day to encourage the work of conservation of tiger. According to WWF around 3,900 wild tigers are left in the world. Since the beginning of the 20th century, over 95% of the world’s tiger population is lost. It is said that across Asia, the snaring crisis poses a grave threat to wild tigers. Students made and wore Tiger Mask, shared important facts about the tigers and their pivotal role in balancing and maintaining the ecosystem. They expressed how these magnificent creatures will be on the verge of extinction if we don’t join our hands to save them. With a spectacular play, poems and song showcasing the pitiful life of a tiger.
